Essa semana iremos focar em três apartamentos que estão localizados em um dos meus bairros preferidos de NY: Chelsea. O limite do bairro se estende da Rua 14 à Rua 34, entre a 6^a Avenida e a West Side Highway.  Umas das grandes vantagens de morar nesta área está na facilidade de se locomover na cidade. Praticamente todas as linhas de metro passam por ele e é sempre fácil de encontrar taxi a qualquer hora do dia. Outro ponto positivo está no fato de ter uma infraestrutura de supermercados e lojas “quebra-galho” espalhadas pelo bairro (Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot e Container Store), então você não precisa de ir muito longe para resolver coisas do dia-a-dia.

O bairro é excelente para aqueles que apreciam arte e adoram sair para “night”. A grande maioria das boas baladas esta localizada ali, assim como excelentes galerias de arte. Uma coisa que eu gosto muito em Chelsea é o fato de ser um bairro em que as pessoas apreciam muito a cultura e o que é bom, mas sem serem tão pretenciosas como em outras regiões.

Bom, eu poderia ficar falando até amanhã, pois sou realmente fã, mas vamos ao que interessa, não é mesmo?! No próximo post tem um resumo com as principais dicas do bairro.

O primeiro apartamento fica na Rua 23 ao lado do High Line e do Chelsea Piers. O prédio é incrível, com uma excelente infraestrutura e com tudo que precisamos reunidos em um único lugar. Porteiro 24 horas, academia, sala para reunião, área para confraternização, cobertura para tomar sol e reunir os amigos para um churrasco, entre outras coisas.  Ah, e o que é essa vista?

Como vocês podem ver nas fotos deste estúdio, o acabamento é impecável e possui o diferencial de ter lavadora/secadora de roupas em todas as unidades. Com a vida corrida que a gente tem aqui, isso ajuda muito! Outra coisa que me chamou a atenção nesse apartamento: os armários! Nessa cidade, arrumar espaço pra conseguir guardar tudo é algo que não acontece com muita frequência. Principalmente para os brasileiros, como eu, que costumam levar o mundo pra onde vão. #vergonha  #precisopraticarodesapego

 917 Diares is a blog that focus on the NY lifestyle of its residents and frequent visitors. We always try to write about interesting tips and things that are happening in the city, and we now have a partner here on the blog to assist us in finding the best apartments for rent in NY.  Anyone who lives – or has lived – here knows how hard things can be when it comes to finding a good place to live in the city. Well, from now on, real state agent Maria Ellis will help us with great tips regarding some very nice apartments in NY.

This week we will focus on three apartments (this is post 1 of 3) that are located in one of my favorite neighborhoods: Chelsea.  The neighborhood goes from 14^th Street up to 34^th Street, between 6^th Avenue and West Side Highway. One of the great advantages of living in Chelsea is how easy commuting can be.  The vast majority of subway lines stop on several stations around the neighborhood, and it usually doesn’t take long to find a cab whenever you need one. Not to mention how easy it is to just walk everywhere from Chelsea. Another great plus is the fact that there are great supermarkets – hello Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s – spread around, as well as key stores to have close to home such as Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot, and the Container Store.

Chelsea is a great place for anyone who really appreciates art and also enjoys the nightlife. Some of the nicest clubs are located there, as well as some of the best art galleries. People who live in Chelsea tend to appreciate culture and everything that is good, but they are not as pretentious as people in other neighborhoods. I will also write about some relevant tips about the are in my next post.    

Well, I could spend the whole day talking about it, cause I am truly a fan, but let’s cut straight to the chase and talk about what really matters; the apartments.

The first apartment we visited is located on 23^rd Street, right next to the High Line Park and Chelsea Piers. The building is great, and offers an amazing infrastructure for its residents; 24-hours doorman, gym, conference rooms, party room, rooftop for sunbathing and barbecues, among other things. Oh, before I forget to mention, check out the view!
