Todos conhecem o trabalho da nossa querida estilista nova iorquina, Donna Karan e sua marca DKNY. Nesse verão a marca veio com um projeto novo unindo dez artistas de dez cidades diferentes ao redor do mundo. Cada artista foi encarregado de criar a sua própria intepretação e perspectiva da cidade de Nova York por dentro das letras do logo da marca DKNY. Essas obras de arte serão exibidas na própria cidade de cada artista e assim trazendo um pouco de Nova York para o mundo.

Aqui em Nova York, o mural da DKNY está localizado na 48th street com a 7th Avenue e foi feito pelos artistas How e Nosm, dois irmãos de Brooklyn. Essa dupla usou grafite nas cores vermelho, preto e branco para a interpretação das multidões da grande cidade.

As cidades participando do DKNY Artworks são Paris, Milão, Dubai, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Londres, Kuwait, Seoul e Nova York. E por trás disso tudo também existe uma causa social. Os artistas doaram suas obras para serem leiloados para a instituição Free Arts NYC, que ajudam crianças e famílias carentes em programas de artes.

DKNY Artworks

Everyone is familiar with the work of our dearest New York based fashion designer, Donna Karan and her brand DKNY. This summer the brand has a new project that unites ten artists from ten different cities around the world. Each artist was assigned to create their own interpretation and perspective of the Big Apple within the letters of the logo DKNY. These artworks will be exhibited in the artists’ own cities, therefore bringing a piece of New York City to the world.

Here in the city, the DKNY artwork is located on 48^th street with 7^th avenue and it was created by the artists, How and Nosm, two brothers from Brooklyn. This duo used graphite in the colors red, black, and white to represent the crowds of the big city.

The cities participating in the DKNY Artworks campaign are Paris, Milan, Dubai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Kuwait, Seoul, and New York. There is also a social cause behind this project. These artworks are going to be auctioned and the profits are given to the Free Arts NYC institution, which help underprivileged children and families in art programs.
