Momofuku é um nome bem conhecido pelos amantes de uma boa culinária. O Chef David Chang criou o império Momofuku em 2004 e agora possui cinco localidades em NY, quatro em Toronto no Canada e uma em Sydney na Austrália. O restaurante não é novo, mas sua legião de fãs entusiastas cresce a cada mês. Chang é um mestre quando se trata de brincar com os sentidos e paladar dos seus menus criativos.

Momofuku Ssäm Bar é o meu preferido das unidades aqui em NY por causa do super viciante “mini sanduiche” de lombo. Eu já perdi as contas de quantas vezes já estive no restaurante só para come-los! O polvo também e delicioso e o prato com pato sobre arroz acompanhado com panquecas é algo de outro mundo! Para este ultimo prato, é necessário fazer uma reserva com antecedência no restaurante. O Momofuku não aceita reservas a não ser que você vá comer este prato ou o ombro de porco. Caso contrario, só conseguirá uma mesa por ordem de chegada no restaurante.

E já que todos já sabem que sou a maior formiguinha, não poderia deixar de recomendar o Milk Bar Bakery que fica do outro lado da rua do Ssäm Bar. Eles fazem a melhor torta já inventada chamada “crack pie”. DELICIOSA! Eu não sei explicar como é feita, mas eu realmente te peço que não deixe de prova-la assim que tenha uma oportunidade. Eles também possuem outras opções doces super gostosas, mas a crack pie é, sem dúvida, a estrela do milk bar. Eles ficam abertos até tarde todos os dias e também fazem entregas, então não tem desculpas para não provar!

 

Momofuku Ssäm Bar

Here is another restaurant recommendation you need to add to your list when visiting NY or even if you live in NY.

Momofuku is a hyped name when it comes to food lovers. Chef David Chang created the Momofuku Empire that now has five locations in NY, four in Toronto, and one in Sydney. The restaurant is not new, but the legion of enthusiasts keeps growing every month. Chang does know, after all,  how to play with the senses when it comes to his inventive menus.

Momofuku Ssam is my favorite of the ones here in NY because of their highly addictive and delicious pork buns. I already lost count of how many times I have been to the restaurant just to have them! The octopus is also amazing, and the rotisserie duck over rice with pancakes is just to die for! For this last one, you need to have a reservation. Momofuku doesn’t accept reservations unless you will be having the rotisserie duck or the pork shoulder. Otherwise, Ssäm Bar is a walk-in only restaurant.

And since you already know that I have the sweetest tooth ever, I couldn’t help but recommend the Milk Bar Bakery right across the street from Ssäm Bar. They have the best pie ever invented, called crack pie. A-M-A-Z-I-NG! I don’t know how to explain it, I just urge you to try it as soon as you have a chance. They also have other yummy sweet things to offer, but this pie is the star of the milk bar. They stay open until late every day and they also deliver, so no excuses!
